My client, Elias Norwood, reached out to me in search of a compelling cover design for his upcoming novel, HUNTED, a psychological thriller steeped in tension, mystery, and slow-burning dread. He envisioned a cover that leaned into simplicity, using minimal yet meaningful visual elements to provide subtle context clues that tie into the story’s deeper narrative. After discussing the tone and themes of the book, I decided a black-and-white palette with a striking pop of red would create the right mood: stark, haunting, and immediately eye-catching. This color scheme not only reflects the book’s eerie atmosphere but also hints at danger, obsession, and violent themes. The front cover is intentionally restrained, inviting readers to lean in and look closer. Meanwhile, the back cover offers a quiet but unsettling glimpse into the horrors that lie ahead, acting almost like a cinematic teaser. Together, the design sets the stage for the tension within, creating intrigue before the first page is even turned.
