I designed a series of conceptual decorative calendars that celebrate the traditional art of egg tempera painting. Each calendar functions both as a practical tool and an educational piece, featuring carefully considered typography that shares the history, technique, and unique characteristics of this medium. The concept centers around eggs, chosen not only for their direct connection to egg tempera, but also as a playful nod to the idea of a dozen eggs, a subtle wordplay that added an extra layer of meaning to the project. I had a lot of fun exploring this theme visually, crafting images that reflect both the texture of the medium and the rhythm of the calendar format, while experimenting with type to create a cohesive, engaging design.
